Fun Things to Do After Completing Splatoon 3’s Campaign
Even though you can play the campaign at any point, or never at all, it’s a good idea to complete it as early as possible. It’s full of fun platform adventuring and skill-based challenges. You’ll get to experience a short story, while getting used to the mechanics. Plus, you’ll also learn the ins and outs of all the weapons in the game, which is always handy. After thoroughly completing the Rise of Mammalians, you’ll have access to a new Hero Splat Weapon and a bunch of items you found on your adventures. At this point, most players continue playing turf battles and some ranked modes without any clear direction. Here are some ideas on how to focus on more specific goals and features that’ll maximize your Splatoon 3 experience.
Focus On Upgrading Your Splatoon Gear
It’s easy to slap on your favorite gear and randomly unlock abilities as your gear levels up. By going this route, you won’t be able to maximize your loadout. Instead, you can start by looking at your favorite armaments and gear, then decide what abilities you’ll need to use that weapon to its full capabilities. You can also figure out what game modes you want to use each weapon in. Once everything’s decided, you can save up your money and spend it to scrub each piece of gear to make it a blank slate. Next, you’ll want to use drink items to get the specific abilities you want and equip your empty gear. As you level up, you’ll have the best chance of rolling and unlocking the ability you need. Finally, you can keep scrubbing the random abilities you unlock from your other gear until you get enough ability chunks to add the ability you want to your favorite gear.
Using And Mastering Splatoon 3 Weapons
With so many blasters, brushes, and other things to use in Splatoon 3, it’s easier to start with one or two and master them. If you can use one or two of your favorite attack items in multiple modes, you’ll be able to focus on strategy and teamwork while you play. Also, you can keep playing with a specific weapon to unlock stickers and badges of that attack item. Another option is playing with every blaster, brush, bow, etc. for an extended time to learn and master it. You can play with each one until you reach a certain mastery level, and then switch to another type. As you get familiar with each weapon in each mode, it’ll open up your eyes to more strategies and tricks while adding more variety to your enjoyment.
Master The Salmon Run Game Mode
Another aspect of Splatoon is the PvE mode Salmon Run. This mode is more than just a fun co-op experience; it simulates a real-time strategy mode that demands knowledge and skills. You can spend time learning the maps, attack items, and bosses in this mode in-depth. This will increase your chances of winning more battles in Salmon Run. The more battles you win, the more rewards you’ll be able to get. Playing Salmon Run after the campaign is a rewarding experience that’ll get you more extras and allow you and your friends to take on hordes of enemies and bosses.
Compete And Rank Up In Anarchy Mode
With your strategically focused gear, you can spend your online time playing in the ranked modes to see how far you can go. During this process, you’ll also learn what loadouts other players are using in specific modes and how they’re using them. Testing your skills in this mode will evolve you into the best player you can be. This allows you to adapt and improve your game, while making any necessary changes to your loadouts. The more you play this mode, you’ll be playing against the best of the best. Who knows, maybe you’ll even compete as a pro one day!
Play Tabletop Turf Battle
Splatoon 3 introduced the new Tabletop Turf mini-game that combines card games and interlocking puzzle pieces similar to Tetris. This head-to-head mode pits players against AI opponents that you’ll be familiar with from the world of Splatoon. As of release day, there are 162 cards available to collect after you get your starter deck. Battle your way through different opponents and their leveled-up counterparts to get additional in-game bonuses. It’s a unique way to experience the concept of inking more turf than your opponent, but in a turn-based manner. Even though there’s no multiplayer option currently, the sooner you start collecting cards and improving your game, the sooner you’ll be ready in the event that a multiplayer mode is added later on.
Collect Items For Your Locker
Another cool new feature to Splatoon 3 is the customizable locker. This adds personal style to your inkling in Splatsville and gives you a bunch of items to collect. You can take the time to carefully arrange your locker by displaying your favorite weapons and gear. Once you get your favorite weapons and gear organized in your locker, you can start saving money to use later on items from the shop. Splatoon 3 is a game jam-packed with plenty to do after you complete the campaign and Nintendo has promised continued support and regular updates. Hopefully, they’ll improve some of Splatoon 3’s weaknesses along the way. These are the best things to do after beating the campaign in Splatoon 3 to keep up the fun and action of the game. Take on any or all of these options, and you’ll be playing for a long time.
